In the course of my job at a major coffee retailer, I wonder how many of you in the Indianapolis area I've served. Just a strange musing I had just now.
Well thank God somebody finally said it. STARBUCKS, DAMNIT, STARBUCKS! Geez. How would we know if this was about Starbucks, Panera, or McDonalds, who probably sells more coffee than the other 2 combined, if nobody says it? The OP didn't say. Maybe it's 7-11 or some other convenience store. A brave young lady has come forward to lead us from the fog of confusion known as "major coffee retailer". You've been outed! So there.
I don't like Starbucks. I prefer one of the above-mentioned not-so-major coffee retailers, hands down. Sadly, the "7-11 experience" isn't as big a selling point as the "Starbucks experience". But consider this: Starbucks won't give you 5 cents off a gallon of gasoline for using their pre-paid debit card! So there!
Starbucks is a convenience thing for me: it's three doors down from my place of employment and has free(ish) wi-fi while I'm waiting for my DH to come get me.
although.. "drunken horndog" does sometimes apply in this case, but not usually when he's on his way to pick me up from work. At least not the drunken part.
I have been to many different Coffee houses in my travels and quite a few in Indy area. Although I must admit I just like strong coffee, not much else. None of the special blends or flavors, JUST coffee. We have a double pot at home and on many days we go through 2 between my wife and I. I really like the equal exchange coffee, both on taste and principle. I wish coffee was able to be a local crop. I always try to buy local first.
