I'm sure my next 1911 will be a Colt.... or a Springfield, or S&W, or...
    Well, it'll be a 1911 anyways!

PRETTY!! I have a Colt Double Eagle I have carried for many years, really love the gun, i have fired many rounds through it - reloads, surplus, Federal, Winchester, Remington - probably in the 2,000 range. I have never had a FTF or FTF period! The only things I have done to mine in about 20 years is added a shock buffer (have shot some hot rounds) clean and lube it, and carefully rounded off the very sharp corners on the front of the slide ( kept wearing out my inside the belt holsters). Actually I find the gun easier to carry than any of the revolvers I own as it is much flatter, normally carry in the small of my back with a left hand Uncle mike type holster.
