Okay, I came across a pretty mint Colt LW commander (made until '83 or so). I can't remember the serial, but it did put it in that range. It's solid with a few marks on the barrel, but very clean. I think it has the original box and such... but like a moron, I left it there.

I'm going to bring stuff into the shop for consignment when it first opens tomorrow... should I put it on layaway? I don't have any problem paying for it as I'm looking for a smaller 1911. It's chambered in .45acp btw.

I'm kind of kicking myself right now as the shop gets decent traffic, but I'm hoping I'll get a second chance since it was the end of the day when I was in there.

    Opinions, peez! :patriot:

1911 goodness, in a package perfectly sized and weighted to be a wonderful carry gun.

You didn't mention the price, but it's reasonable to you it's a great gun!

Haha, thanks, guys. I went back right when the shop first opened and put it on layaway. :) And I put some stuff up on consignment. It's a beaut. Not a mark on her and the shop owner is checking with the original owner on the box. I guess the guy is a big 1911 fan, so he is serious about his collecting. Hopefully, he has the box. Whew... ;)
