Just picked up a Colt officers model match for $500 from original owner , says he never shot it and it looks like it as well, has no box . Was wondering if that was a good price or did i get taken. Also could someone could tell me the date it was manufactured serial number is 935XXX. Thanks

It would be great to see photos. You can blur the serial number. It has an great historical value for me. I know collectors like
    1. original finish, if they had been refinished some collectors would not buy it
all parts to match- depending of the year the slide of the colt has also the serial number
if the handgun has depot markings- the price will drop
Is the barrel also a colt barrel

I have a 1944 colt 1911 A! with original finish, that I will never sell

    congratulations

this would be a 38 special target revolver from 1966 or 67. 1967 serial # started with 935551. Price you paid is great. If it is as good of condition as you report, I'd think $750, more with original box. Colt non snake revolvers are overlooked by many but still very high quality, great shooting and still collectable.
