    All you Colt experts:

I just recently came across a First Series Woodsman Serial #1030XX=Made Jan. '36'-Jan. '37' as far as I can tell.
Cleaned up nice, have not shot it yet.
It has some REAL CHEAP plastic target grips that need to come off of it!!

Can anyone add information to me on it, and hopefully source for nice grips ??

    Thanks in advance..Bill.

Uh, go easy Billy Bob. Those cheap brown plastic grips are possibly original, depending on when it was made.

    Nill Griff, for replacements.

I had a set of walnut elephant ear grips made for my grandfathers Bullseye Match Target by the Colt Custom Shop back in the late 80's, but I don't know if they would still make them.
