I’d sure hate to see AV, the greatest kicker in NFL history, retire mid-season after a couple bad games.

Unfortunately it’s not just a couple games. In the last 5 games going back to last year he’s missed 7 field goals inside of 35 yds. That’s a lot.

Which bone? Can he kick? You know by the rules, they can't really touch the kicker, so he'd be a lot safer while he was rehabilitating. Maybe he could fill in as a part of his physical/occupational therapy?

No speculation on NFL channel. I was thinking his preseason injury hadn't healed and he might go on IR. I guess IR at his age is just another form or retirement.

I hate that AV is struggling and thoughts of his demise are running rampant.
it's a sad reminder that players at any position have a limited shelf life.

Oh absolutely Harry. He's the GOAT at that position, and I don't see that being taken away from him any time soon. Probably not in our lifetimes anyhow.

No way. He thought about making a return earlier this year. After a limited amount of kicking his knee swelled up and he was in pain. He's done.

Heck, if Vinnie retires, I'd bring her in for a tryout and put her in some simulated game situations and see how she does. I mean, Vinnie doesn't do much more than FGs and extra points (although he is probably the backup kickoff and punter). Might as well she what she can do as we wouldn't use her for tackling situations.
