Haven't rebooted yet, but my speed got a boost when they fixed the outside wires some months ago.

After reboot there was no significant difference. Oh, well.

Run the speedtest.net check. I always found comcast's incorrect.

I can't get a longer download test on speedtest, when I try using it the download is done in a second or two.

I have verified my connection is "close" to provisioned speed via real world testing. I downloaded a CentOS 5.9 ISO last night at 11MBps which is around 90Mbps and can send files at 2.5MBps to remote servers which is 20Mbps.

I reset my modem and did get an increase:

Before I was probably dowloading in the low 30's and uploading around 4 or 5... Very nice. I wonder if I am limited to faster speeds by the modem model that I have?

    Edit:
I ran the same test in Firefox and got these results:

What I'm saying is, their speedboost gives false speed tests. The connection drops quite a bit after something has been DLing for a while.

    I'll take my 100% fiber connection 10 outta 10 times :)

No change here in Fishers, IN.

Signed up for 12/2 Business Class in 12/11, and Speedtest.net would give me blazing fast tests, typically 70-90/20/40.

Then a couple of months ago or so, my speedtest.net began giving me a rock steady 21/4 result, with ping times varying from 10-25ms..
