I think for the bigger companies, there's a bigger risk of the unknown in doing this.

If you're S&W and stop doing business with the state of NY, do you really want to take the chance of being permanently blacklisted by a whole state, several states or even possibly the federal gov't?

That's a pretty big risk when the state of NY is just a sliver of their total gun sales.

It is a pretty big risk if they do not! I understand the risk and the uncertainty. Do they expect to be selling arms in 5 years if they do not take a stand now?
