I did the whole application process online and went and got finger printed last Friday. Now its saying to take both the application and the receipt for my finger prints to my county sheriffs department and pay my $50. Now I have a couple questions. Is it $50 exact or is there taxes? How do I pay? When can I take it to the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department? I work Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm and I don't know if they will take my paperwork on the weekend. Any information would be great thank you and god bless.

The "permit" is a license and it's not for concealed carry but simply for carry.

I got stopped by some idiot at Walmart last week insisting that it was illegal for me to open carry and that the permit was for concealed carry. I let him know that if he'd like to call the local PD, I'd be fine with that.

A little research goes a long way.
