    I could be wrong, but I do not see this moving out of committee. Especially since only the democrats are the ones that signed it. Leave it to the liberals to want to tax more to spend more.

    SCOTUS has said that the states can't impose a poll tax because voting is a fundamental right... Then they said Obamacare is not a fine, but a tax, imposed at the federal level, which makes it okay. Could the feds impose a poll tax under that illogic? If so, then there's nothing in the ethos of SCOTUS standing in the way of taxing every firearm at 100% of its book value per year.

    Haha, whatever the SCOTUS or Constitution says doesn't mean squat to a liberal, because they would just re-interpret it, or simply reword their bad bill.

    Well, if that's the case, firearms would suddenly become a lot less expensive.
