    big, heavy, reliable. and the price sounds right. is this gonna be a everyday carry gun? if so take a brick and tape it to your hip for a day or so to understand how it is gonna feel to carry it all day(the only downfall in my opinion)

    just rember, unlike a glock, you can properly pistol whip someone with one

    I absolutely LOVE my P97DC. It's a brick and can really take some abuse.

    I'm sure that p90 is just as good if not better.

    The only thing I don't like about Ruger's is doing a detailed strip. There are so MANY small parts, springs and do-dads...

    I still wouldn't get rid of it for the world... I've never had a jam and it's accurate as heck.

    I agree with Munky, pistol whipping someone might even kill them!

    I had one as my first .45, it was big, bulky, but utterly reliable, and accurate. The one problem I had was the safety on the slide was not very positive and I'd go to take my gun off after a couple of hours to find the safety off from my movement about the day, it has such a long trigger pull though, I don't think it really mattered.

    yeah, out at work we have the p89 dao. they are about as odl as some of the inmates, we just purchased beretta 92 d's and i can't think of hearing anyone say they perfer the beretta.only complaint about the 89 is the damned mag release. we had a few S&W 5906's floating around, but they have all gone the way of the dodo. bummer
