Here is a really cool video on the Interurban system that existed in Indiana back in the 40's. Sorry I got it off of Facebook so not sure if those who don't have an accountant are able to view this or not. I tried to find it on youtube but was not able to.

Pretty cool video from a different era. Trolley's are obsolete in todays world, but unfortunately Politicians and Enviromentalist's are trying to cram those down our throats. If they get them, it will be subsidized and we will be paying for something nobody uses.

Very neat video. I'm not so sure an intercity trolley system like that might not be profitable. Lots of people, from kids and healthy seniors, to poor working class and the the "scooter class" would be regular customers.

Very cool video! Cars killed the trains and now they want to bring trains back..... hindsight.

I liked the shots of U.S.31 when looked like a typical country road.

I grew up in Montpelier IN and the interurban used to run thru there and some of the old tracks and a cement pillar still stands in the middle of the river there.. my dad used to ride it to Fort Wayne... sold boot leg gin up there..
