I am still going coon hunting this year, but i dont really know where any fur buyers are. He always took them in while i was at work, so I have no idea where to take them. i live in syracuse and work in warsaw. $20?

Even for a finished Grade I hide that would be a mind boggling price skyrocket. The market is up and down, but if it is up to $20 you'd not want to be a coon crossing my path this winter.

Most prices you see quoted are for prime put up coon pelts. By "put up" I mean skinned, fleshed and stretched and done proper. Most dog caught coons will be graded down pretty hard by the fur buyer do to the fact that they will be damaged by the dogs and are usually sold green or un-skinned. When a buyer buys a put up pelt, he can see exactly what he's getting and the condition it is in, whether it is prime, or full of hole from dogs chewing on it....................most of the time.
