Unless you yourself are sick, or you think those in the studio with you are sick, you should remove your mask before going on air.

His failure to do that speaks volumes.

    Perhaps they're similar to Japan.

It's a cultural thing. I sign of respect to wear it to make sure you dont get anyone sick even if you are not sick.

Instead of how us, Americans just sneeze wherever, however, they frown upon passing any type of germs/fluids in public.

Yes similar to what was posted about the japenese.

From NBC, wonder how high it's going to spike...

On Tuesday, the coronavirus death toll was 106 — up from 80 a day earlier — according to officials at China’s National Health Commission.

The number of cases has also spiked to 4,515 — up from 2,744 on Monday — of which 976 are considered severe.

I've seen estimates of a quarter million infected and 10k dead by next week in ChiComland alone. The "admitted" cases and deaths have doubled in a day...just keep multiplying.

The Wuhan mayor said 5 million people fled the city before the lock down (imagine...not trusting their commie overlords to do what's in their best interest...they might just have nuked it from space). The infection rate is 2.6, or every infected person will infect another 2.6. The ChiComs have admitted that it is infectious well before symptoms show. There is nothing good about this.

Oh c'mon. The flu kills bazillions. Why you worrying about this punk ass disease? This is just a few old people croaking a bit earlier than they would have otherwise. Let's keep things in perspective. I mean. We got global warming to fight. Children are literally dying from spring like conditions all over the world. Walruses are jumping off of cliffs. There goes one now. And you're worried about some stupid disease in China? You have a way betterer chance of dying from an Allstate mayhem event than from this Chinese thingy.

    Purple Jamil...purple...;)

Also, "This is just a few old people croaking a bit earlier than they would have otherwise." I'm beginning to resemble that remark. I know, I know, I should just get out of the way and what not.

Coronavirus = nothing burger. The 2017-2018 USA flu season was severe for all populations and resulted in an estimated 959,000 hospitalizations and 79,400 deaths.per Wikipedia 61,0000 deaths per CDC

    https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2017-2018.htm

Another media attempt to have us give up our rights for safety

Apples to oranges. You are comparing the full cycle of 2017-2018 to the early stages of a new disease.

To quote the Hitchhikers Guide "Don't Panic"

    Media manipulation. Control by fear.

If you are concerned gooble quarantine room, have the supplies on hand

When your friends in the military start getting mandatory biological casualty training "refresher", well that's a horse of another color

Already have supplies. No fear at all. Just keeping informed, sharing info and discounting both the fear mongers and the "nothing to worry about"-ers.

Wake me up when there cases in Btown
I'm a IU season ticket holder. Next week IU Football is having a signing day preview event. I have decided to not attend because I really don't want to take a chance. IU does have a large Asian presence on campus. How many have traveled to China and back is unknown, and with the chance of it being spread rapidly like the measles outbreak did last year there, I have no plans to become a statistic.

One unknown infected person in the Memorial Student Union building and it's off to the races on how fast it could be spread. From there it's just a matter of how fast it plays leap frog.
