cost effective options for a 12.5"

Have my paperwork back and need to find a 12.5" AR upper. It seems nearly impossible right now. Any tips? I've considered getting a 16" and having it cut and threaded. I'm not a "premium parts" kind of guy, more interested in basic functionality.
