Will there be drastic increase in the price of firearms as a result of CT school massacre? I don't remember what effect Virginia Tech shooting had on the firearm cost. Does anyone remember?
Demand drives costs. Honest and trustworthy merchants are not immune to demand.
Opportunists will take advantage of hysteria if a customer allows them to do so. The end user either allows the price to be accepted or it sits on a shelf.
The increase will be caused by the morons thinking the end of the world is coming so they have to stockpile and they've got to do it RIGHT NOW. Dealers will take advantage of that and people with half a brain will be screwed.
I didn't notice a marked increase after the Virginia Tech shootings. Don't know if it will be different this time. Pretty much all my acquisitions occur through private sales though, so my experience may not be applicable.
