I looked at the kit a while back and 'priced' it out vs Emergency Essentials - Be Prepared Emergency Preparedness Food Storage and at regular price it was a good deal (price wise).

Note as someone has already stated that some of the items are on the lower end of quality wise. In addition, this is a BASIC STARTER KIT only.

Here is an ebook with a more detailed listin case anyone is interested.

Look at the 2nd post for the link.

For sure.. the nice thing is it's a "ice breaker" type deal and a get you thinking sort of thing. It's also a nice way to get someone you know started. A lot easier to suggest a bucket and get the wheels turning than tell them to buy a bunch of individual things and they look at you like you are nutty.

    Baby steps ;)

Thanks for the link to your ebook, I didn't have time to check it out, but I will when I get a chance.

I'm looking forward to checking it out and I don't think even if most of it turns out to be junky that what is there (like 100 gallon water filtration bottle, 8 hour 'stove' fuel) can help to offset the 50 bucks spent. ;)\

Since a picture is worth a thousand words..... Putting one back for each of your family members is probably not a bad idea. Cheap insurance if you never need to use it and a possible lifesaver if needed

Too bad COSTCO is anti gun/CCW.
    :dunno:
Nothing on their signs says anything about concealed carry weapons, just firearms.

    :D

Anyway, apparently the costco deal is regional. I'm going to email them when I get some time to put a decent one together and find out why some stores are anti gun and others aren't. I spend thousands a year w/ costco and my executive membership is about to expire.

I'll report back what they say. Membership is fully refundable at any time... on the down side, I get my tires, electronics ect. from them so a I really don't want to lose all those perks like free rotations, and extended warranties.

Worse thing that can happen from what I have read on other post is that if
    a) sign is up and you go in you are 'ok' unless they ask you to leave.
    b) if you leave no harm since you have broken no law
    c) if you don't leave, then you are treaspasing and can be arrested

    right?

That was a bit of joke. CCW= Concealed Carry Weapon. Not concealed firearm, lol.

Here at INGO we (I mean I) constantly try and make a clear distinction, because many just joining us (especially from other states) see CCW and just assume that the LTCH is a CCW, when it clearly is not.

You could call that being a terminology nazi. In any event I was making a joke.

Your ABC listing is right on. Maybe I'll write that letter this weekend.

BTW My bucket showed up today, haven't opened it yet though.
