Couple of 1911 builds

Just finishing up a pair of 1911's for a customer to gift to his kids./ Guns are incidental except one has a short trigger.
Caspian frame and slides, KKM bull barrels and quality internals.
Guns were sent out for DLC coating

Very nice and clean looking pair. Those grips are a great choice. Someone has excellent taste.

I don't know anything about DLC, other than it seems to be a very durable treatment. Really impressed with it so far on my Staccato, my barrel shows zero wear. I've thought about sending something to Evolution Armory, but I don't think they actually do the work, believe it's done close to them by someone else. They're just the middleman.

this is the first time I have had it done on anything, I am very happy with appearance I will be using it again for sure.
Since I am new to it I did use Evolution Armory because they make sure the prep is correct.

They had technical difficulties mid process as the DLC company they were using closed its doors without warning
