No need to hash anything out, I'm not talking one off small businesses but major corporations with many locations. They pay less than 3% (I have the P&Ls)... and they factor it into their pricing, as all businesses should...

I utilize Discover card’s 5% as much as possible.

I have alert’s set up and they’ve saved me (actually saved Discover card company ) a couple of times.

No, because I don't add CC fees unless that is the payment method.
Yes, I know some places will add those up front, but I don't do it that way.
