I stopped in at a Culvers restaurant today in Fort Wayne. Not too bad food. But was using their WIFI and tried to get on MidwayUSA website and was blocked. The reason...?? WEAPONS I just sent an email message to their home office letting them know it was not appreciated and that it is people like us that helped to give them the freedom to have a business. I'll see what response they give me. But, no more Butter Burgers for me!
Please let us know what you find out.

I was at a tire store in my area and found INGO and several other gun sites blocks. I sent them a polite email explaining that I was in their shop getting a new set of tires, using their free customer Wi-Fi for my business and pleasure and found most of the websites blocked. They replied with a nice letter. The next time I was in there they had the Wi-Fi opened up. Its not that they were anti-gun, but rather that the default settings on the system they purchased were set to lock out guns, violence, porn, tobacco, alcohol and lots of other things.

Yeah probably just a generic filter like k-12 schools use.

On another note, had Culver's Friday and it's always my first choice for a "Fast Food Chain" Burger.

Yummy shakes... That's pretty crappy that they would block it, if intentional. Like said above, they probably use a preset filter.

I used to work at Culvers and they never had that vibe but we weren't allowed to carry while working or even allowed to have a knife on us while we worked. I openly talked about guns and shooting to a few co-workers and two managers and there were no problems.

Hi guys. I'm the one that started this post. I got a call from, Sandy, the owner of the restaurant I visited. Most of you were right. It was their security company that is trusted with the credit card machine that had the filtering set to stop when a web site that contains weapons were detected. She said she didn't know about this and was glad I mentioned it. She is a gun owner too and didn't like what happened. So, I guess it was all for naught. Hooray, now I can go back for a Butter Burger.

    Yay Culvers!
It is a treat for my wife and I on "date night" about once a month. I've open carried at the Plainfield location for about 7 years. Never an issue.
