Arn't you able to call and see if you have been approved though?

Your local PD might tell you if they approved your app and submitted it to ISP, but that's about it. ​ It's hit and miss, though. As I said, if you get through to a supervisor, sometimes you can get some info. ISP does have 60 days to approve or deny, so unless you're beyond that, I wouldn't worry too much.

Filled out my application on the 24th, finger printed on the 25th. Paid the local PD on the 27th... now I'm waiting. Thanks Lectric102002 for guiding me to this thread. I'm a newbie still trying to find my way around.

My wait time was right at 4 weeks from on-line state form, finger prints by outside agency and local payment

Wife just received hers today. Turned in info at Sheriff Department maybe 2 weeks ago.

I got fingerprinted at the local sheriff's office, filled out all the paperwork and mailed it in about a month ago.
Received the license one week later in the mail, so it really does varry a lot.

Paid local fee on 1-15-2014.
Fingerprinted and paid state fee on 1-16-2014.
License arrived on 1-31-2014.

I guess I should start shopping for a holster and proper belt now.

Emphasis on proper belt. Too many go large on the biggest baddest holster and try to use a belt from Jos. A. Bank. Not that there is anything wrong with their belts, they just aren't meant to support a 32 oz. sidearm.

Got an email from Isp a couple hours ago. "Please watch for an envelope from the Indiana State Police to be delivered to you via the US Mail". Anyone else ever receive this email before??

I've been emailing them my info and app # for the past week. They always send an email back saying they're forwarding my info to someone who can give me the status of my app. So not sure what it means but like always I'll be rushing to the mailbox after work
