I'm waiting for a Caspian slide and then I'll be ordering all the pieces and parts needed to put a Colt frame back together. I'm intending on this to be a .45 ACP target pistol. I can't seem to decide on a barrel manufacturer. Any recomendations? I'm tempted to go all Wilson with the small parts and barrel.

Kart, don't go cheap, buy the one with a prefitted oversized bushing. You will need to spend a little time fitting the bushing to the slide, but it is worth the time. The "EZ" fit option makes a great fit on a worn (or tight) slide works great. I have only fit 6 of them, its not like I work at Novak or Springfield, but all six of them shot great

Kart is a nice option. I went with a Clark compensated piece. It required fitting into my Springfield and took a few hundred rounds to shoot it in but it runs so sweet now. Little if any barrel flip and groups very well.

    Nice Pistol churchmouse.

Thanks. My second 1911 build up. I am hoping to shoot some steel with it this summer. Did not want to do this to one of my Springfield's but some poor decisions on my part put me here and after running it in I could not be happier.
