Ahh, I didn't know you already had a 4", cool, and good decision! I'm definitely a fan of 3" barrels. I had a 3" 686+ that I probably should have kept in hind sight, but opted for the 2.75" 66-8 when those came out. I can see why Dave is known for this modification, it ended up looking like it should have come that way from the factory. The final proportions aesthetically look *just right*. And with that slab-sided barrel to boot...

Yep, I had a 5 3/4” Mr73, I miss that one, but as with most guns, for the right amount of $$$ they can be replaced!!!

More pics to come this week

    That looks very, very, nice.

Related question: Is it ok to remove the serial number from a gun?

That was not the original serial number of the gun (the number on the side despite saying ”ser doesnt match the actual serial number). The Original serial number is actually on the but of the revo (and a second spot under the grips). The number you see on it was added later on (not sure why). Additionally it was actually the wrong serial number... they stamped wrong (which is bizarre)... by the time I got the gun, the import marks were worn away and that “incorrect serial” was there.

I am assuming since that was incorrect vs what was on file it would be fine as it’s not “a real serial”. I’m also sure Dave cross checked this several times before moving forward with the work.

In other words if I personally add some numbers to a firearm and start them with ser:123 is that the actual serial? No. If I scribe numbers all over a gun, is it the ok to remove them? I am fairly confident that as long as the original serial numbers that the manufacturer put on the gun remain in tack, there is likely nothing wrong.

Again, I’m not saying that is 100% the case, I don’t know.

What I 1000% do know is that NO actual serial numbers that were put on the gun by Manurhin were removed, or touched.

Beautifully done. I had a chance to get one several years ago on Aimsurplus. Problem was I didn't have any extra to get it. Had to wait a few weeks. Then when I finally got the money together they were all sold out.:tantrum:

I got mine a few years ago from Allan's Armory. It wasn't in quite as good condition as the OP's (before refinishing), but even worn, it was still like glass. I think I paid somewhere around $600-ish for it back then. The next time they came back in the prices had jumped to close to $1K and up to $1.2K. They've come back down to the $750-800-ish range, but I was still glad I got mine when I did.

The adjustable trigger with the roller bearing system is just a wonder to behold.
