Well, it looks like I will need to run some more 3/8" AR500 targets before the show. I've got a few days left to collect custom orders for pickup at the 1500 if anyone is interested.

Payment on custom targets required before cutting.

    What do you guys want?

What do you guys have that can withstand steady 5.56mm and 5.45x39? I'm looking for some steel rifle targets for a review and for using on my range on a weekly basis.

Will you have anything at the Indy 1500 that I can pick up and bring home?

Oh, and any video I produce where the targets are featured, I would give you guys a plug as you're INGO members and site supporters.

I stock 3/8" ar500 in various rounds, squares, and ipsc torsos. 3/8" will handle rifle rounds. What distance are you planning?

yes, I will have inventory at the show.

There is a sticky thread in our sub forum that lists stocked inventory and pricing.

I've never owned steel rifle targets before, just pistol. So I'm not sure what the minimum safe range is. I'm assuming 100 yards. I might get as close as 75 yards, if that's safe.

I'll check your inventory now. Thanks for the prompt response.

How do you cut this stuff & does it maintain temper around the edges? I'm thinking about picking up a couple small 1/2" AR500 circles at the show.

All targets are cut on a watertable with a cnc hydef plasma cutter.

All of this heat affected zone and tempur maintainance is really blown out of proportion...short answer is you will be fine.

Bad news is I do not carry any 1/2". What caliber/distance is it you think you need 1/2"?

    Great!

3/8" would probably work fine @ ~50 yds with .223 but I do have a .458 SOCOM & M1 Garand that are wanting to get out of the safe too.

I have a 10" disc made from some kind of forged allow (not yours obviously) that held up well to the .223 & .458 but it doesn't clang, just a boring thud. :(

I shot some of this 3/8" with my .308 at 50, 100 and 400yd mark, and no dents in it whatsoever. you'll be GTG with whatever you want to throw at it.
