I thought I should do a nice gun justice and get it a nice scope. So I sprung for a Leupold Rimfire 2-7x28. What do you think? CZ 455 22 lr with JP custom bases, JP custom striker spring, and Leupold 2-7x28.

And here is what it did at 25 yds with Aguila Subsonic HPs. 3 shot group

And the holes at the bottom right are not part of the group.:D

CZ & Leupold, you have good taste Sir.:yesway:
    Nice photo layout as well.
Did the striker spring make a big difference?

I couldn't say for sure. It had been a couple months since I had shot it, and I never had any problems with it anyway. But I was buying stuff from them anyway so what was another $10 to make it "better" :)

Yep, thats a beauty... I'd like to get the kit with both the .22lr and .17hmr barrel!

    Nice choice!

Put a yo Dave trigger on that thing and you will be make a good gun a great gun.

Maybe, but I also checked my serial # today and I thought about just going all out and getting the Timney Triger for it. The earlier 455s you have to modify the stock a bit to make it fit. After a while CZ changed the cutout in the stock and newer ones its a drop in part.

I got my 10/22 out today and put the old scope that was on the CZ on it (sim. 22 mag) and that trigger is HORRIBLE. My finger was tired after 50 rounds. So I would like to fix that trigger before the CZ's as I don't mind it.

I thought about that too, but I wouldn't want to mess with changing out barrels. I would end up just buying a whole new gun :). Then you dont have to mess with it.

I'm green with envy. I've wanted a CZ for a long time. As far as the 2x7 Leupold RF scope goes, a dealer I know told me not to bother putting one on my Marlin 39. I told him he was full of it, I did it, and I've been glad ever since. First Leupold I ever owned and I've never bought another scope brand since (although I might try a Burris).

Very nice looking set up there! I have several CZ 452s and love em! A couple have Nikons, one Weaver one Redfield Compact and one has a Burris Timberline 4-14x. I like the Nikons b/c of the quick eye focus on the rear. My eyes are getting terrible with age. The Burris is an excellent scope too. Very nice shooting btw. :yesway:

    Easy 10/22 trigger fix.

Replace the factory hammer (hammer ONLY) with a Volquartzen target hammer. You'll still have some creep but just changing the hammer will drop your trigger down to around 2.5 - 3 lbs. Easily the best improvement for the $$ you can do on a 10/22.

And....the Yo Dave trigger kits are the best improvement for the $$ on a CZ rimfire. Got several (mine are Brooks kits, same-same) on 452s.

I used the Ace Hardware spring trick on my CZs. I think it is #144 or something like that. Under $1 each. There is a very good following on Rimfire Central and a lot of good info on these rifles there. :yesway:
