Where can I get one? I think it is 1/2 X 28

I don't know where you can just walk in and get one, but all the big online gun parts stores have them in stock. In an emergency you may be able to buy a nut at Lowe's or Home Depot that will thread on, but make sure of your thread pitch before screwing it on.
