Damascus

Anyone have any experience with REAL damascus knives? I'm not real into knives in general but I had read once that the damasus knives now where often made to look like that and not real.
Well to make it short I saw a review on survivalblog.com for
Bear and Sons Cutlery and it seems to be legit. Is the Damascus Steel and or the brand worth the money?

There are many different TYPES of Damascus. There are hundreds of people making quality Damascus, of different types and flavors. A good rule of thumb is "you get what you pay for". If its a $20 price tag, it's probly junk. The qualityade stuff commands a fair price. I'm

I bought an Alabama Damascus blade blank. I haven't made a handle for it yet...Mainly cause I havent figured out how to work with the shape, but I have to say it seems like way better quality than what I've seen before. Super sharp. I think it was like $100

What about Bear and Sons Cutlery formerly MGC or MCG something like that. Anyone have any experience with them?
