Dan Wesson 1911 Bobtail CCO .45acp.
Recoil was less than expected for a 1.6 lb .45, very comfortable and little muzzle jump. I ran through 150 rounds of WWB and Federal 230 gr with zero failures. The night sights make it easy to stay on target. I also fired some Hornady critical defense 185 gr with no difference in accuracy. It is on the money out to 25 yards with some very nice 2" groups freehand shooting. I wish I had brought a rest to see what it was really capable off shooting. Overall, I am extremely pleased and after a few more boxes it will no doubt become an EDC. Dan Wesson has honored Mr Browning nicely by making a very good model 1911.
I think the model 1911 just might catch on, after a 100 years it is more than a fad. I can't wait to see what they do for the 1911 bicentennial.
The high and right was obviously my fault (yeah, I suck).
