DW just knows how to create gorgeous quality and nice tolerances. The first 1911 I didn't feel the need to start tearing down. Also my first in 10mm and diggin' it. Congrats on your new DW and nice groups!

DW Silverback owner as well. I had Allen M. shoot it, and he said the same thing that Churchmouse said above: "I wouldn't do anything to it!"

I thought that was awesome as I was there trying to give him some money to do *something* to the danged thing!!!

Haha!!! Too much BOOM for steel! I just bought and worked up a S&W Victory .22 for Steel. I'll be there next month with her for sure.

I listened to the wise elders of INGO on 1911’s and purchased a DW Valor Commander.
Over 1,5000 rounds zero malfunctions and it's more accurate than I am.

My next purchase will be a Dan Wesson 1911 in .38 Super. I was on the fence about it but after reading these posts, you guys talked me into it. Really had to twist arm
