I think the Valor might be making a come back, they showed one the other day on Instagram they are adding Chen magazine wells to the Valors.

That being said I am really glad I have my eco now and wish I had gotten a 9 version to boot, though the Staccato C does the same thing and is optics ready.

    From a recent arfcom discussion:
"The Vigil's pricing never made sense when compared to the rest of their line. An aluminum frame does not make a 1911 $400 cheaper (semi-custom builders charge MORE for aluminum). DW charged more for the duty coat then they put the duty coat on their [Vigil]. I think someone at DW realized they were selling the Vigil too cheap and decided to discontinue it."

The Vigil was their last 'affordable' handgun. When the Valors first came out they were great deals for what you got. Now with the MSRP's all creeping towards 2K and most well over 1500.00 if I was looking for a higher end 1911 i'd probably just skip over DW. The 11-1300.00 price point was their niche.

My Valor became the legacy gun I made for my daughter. It was a stellar piece when new and an amazing piece when AllenM and I were finished with it.
    Sad they are dropping models.
