Thanks mom, didn't know aveeno made anything other than the lotion my wife uses. We picked up cortizone 10, but she's still itching like crazy. The doc said to have her take some Claritin on top of the cream so we gave it to her around 3. I don't know how long it takes to kick in, but she was still itching when she went to bed.

When my daughter had an allergic reaction and broke out in hives, we used the Aveeno oatmeal bath. I know your daughter can't soak in the tub yet, but I think they also have soap and anti-itch lotions. Goat milk soap would also be soothing.

I use Gold Bond Anti Itch cream for bug bites and such, and that works good. It is kind of like the icy hot...kind of smelly and feels like the icy hot stuff, but it stops the itch.

Thanks for the awesome updates! Sounds like slowly things are getting back to normal. When does she get to go back to school?

She wanted to go back this week, lol. We were planning on sending her Monday to see how she does, but her class is going on a field trip that day. We'll see how she feels Tuesday and try it then. My wife works her school so if she starts hurting mom can come home with her.

    Tried Benadryl?

    >Claritin

Hope it doesn't bother her too much longer!

Haven't tried benadryl yet, may try that tomorrow since the tube of cortizone is almost gone. She's still in good spirits though, she's really been a prankster the past day or so. I'm just glad she's taken all of this so well. She's had a smile on her face since day one and keeps asking when she'll get to meet everyone on here.

She actually pulled ingo up on her Ipod and was reading a few threads. She came across a post from Dead Duck and said "um, does he know my picture is upside down?" Lol

Benadryl was going to be my suggestion, as well. The rash sounds like it might be a histamine reaction.

Thanks bcannon, I really appreciate the offer but we're sitting pretty well in the rimfire department. I lucked out over Christmas and bought a few thousand rounds when gander and cabelas had their free shipping going on. Maybe bring it to the "thank you" shoot this spring?

Will do - hope all is good today - hope the itching has sibsided -

She's looking great! Hope that reaction clears up, but it seems like small potatoes after everything she's been through.

She's spent an awful lot of time at doctor/specialist appointments over the years and yet she always sees the glass half full. She really is the strongest person I know.

I agree, I told her this is proof she can handle anything life throws at her.

Yeah, steroids and epinephrine don't mix - but hopefully the steroids clear up the rash! I can't believe how much she continues to smile and keep a positive outlook through everything. So inspiring.
