Day Hike

Took a needed day off work to do some hiking around Brookville Lake. Hiked six miles on the West side of the lake (Adena Trace Loop). The part of the Adena I followed (DNR: Brookville Lake) is known as the Wolf Creek trail. This trail goes through some of the more secluded area of Brookville Lake. For such a secluded trail it has been maintained nicely. There are a number of accents and descents that gives the hiker some very nice views of the lake. The only thing missing is the allowance of back country camping. In all the Adena Trace is about 24 miles long. No camping makes this trek virtually impossible.

Beautiful area...bet it's even more beautiful in the spring when the trees are all budding. We'll have to visit sometime!

Beautiful, thanks for sharing the photos. Make me want to get out bad. I really enjoy the hikes around Yellow Wood and Morgan/Monroe State forest.
