Any other INGOers make it over for the show this weekend? My Dad and I have been going to air shows together since I was in middle school, and Dayton has always been one of our favorites. The Indianapolis Air Show getting rained out the past couple years has led us to rediscover Dayton. My son has also been going with us; there's something special about three generations enjoying the spectacle of flight.

Now that the Space Shuttle program is history, NASA's Super Guppy didn't have anything to do, so it made an appearance. Seemed to be very popular. It also takes my personal vote for Ugliest. Airplane. EVAR.

The USAF Thunderbirds were this year's headliners. They put on a great show, but having seen both the T-Birds and the Blue Angels numerous times, I gotta admit I like the Blue Angels better. The Blues' routine is more engaging, their formation flying is tighter, and their larger and dark-colored aircraft are easier to see in the sky. Look forward to catching them again at Indy or Dayton next year!

Hope you all have enjoyed these pics! :ingo:

O.k, the modern stuff is kinda neat but WHERE ARE ALL THE DAMN ROUND MOTORS????? With kudos for the AT6 zeros and the B25 of course!!!!

There was very, very little WWII warbird stuff this time around, even on the static ramp. Tora Tora Tora, the B-25, and the Corsair were pretty much it. There were also a few civilian prop acts, like Sean Tucker, Melissa Pemberton, and the Tombstone Riders.

Overall, I thought the show was very well paced, with a good mix of low/fast/loud jets, prop plane aerobatics, and diversions like the Wright "B" flyer replica, the School Time jet bus, and the Golden Knights.
