I can understand him just fine. The trick is to read it quickly, and phonetically. Don't focus on the individual words, but on the post or sentence in its entirety.

Yep, me too. But I learned to speed read back in college and you just can't use that when looking at his posts. When I slow it down it becomes crystal clear.

It helps if you've lived in the country all your life... I have no issues reading it, of course I know a few good 'ol boys that really talk like this. It's like learning a second language, it just takes time and practice!

I can understand it just fine but I find it obnoxious because the people I know that speak like that don't type like that, because they're not brain dead morons. Also, that moron doesn't speak like that...he just thinks he is creating some cool Internet persona. I've seen old posts of his on other boards where he was basically treated like a troll because of his "look at me, I've got severe brain trauma" typing style.

I've met HR50 in person, great guy, cool dude in a loose mood. I can interpret, FWIW, he does sound " normal " in person.
I think he's just sort of shorthanding if that makes any sense. Having a little fun at the same time.

There is from someone that has met him saying he doesn't speak like he types. As for the farming type that talks that way, I'd be willing to bet that NONE of them write the way he types. If they've never typed before, I'm guessing their written English would translate from paper and pen to keyboard and screen.

There are people that have typed far more ignorant things that the way you try to convey your messages that haven't made my ignore list. I honestly find them far more pathetic but I don't ignore anyone as they MAY say something worthwhile (and your comments on bikes are almost always spot on, even if most people have to go get kicked in the head by a mule to understand the gibberish).
