Hi,
I am looking for someone that would be willing to be a mentor for a middle aged city boy that has justed turned country. I never had the chance to go deer hunting and it is a goal of mine this year. I currently have no gear for deer hunting, and would need to start from square one. I have shooting experience and have passed the Indiana Hunters Education, current NRA member, but have no clue on how to go deer hunting or what I need to do.
I also have experince dress out rabbits (and would be willing to trade dressed out domestic rabbits), and would have no issues dressing out deer, just need to know what to do. I realize I am getting a very late start on this and would be willing to aim for the first hunt next year, but want to learn what is right.
Please email me off list if you may be interested in being a mentor or if you know how to get started (thought about a guided hunt). Just have not found a good way to get started in deer hunting.
