I sent my comments to DNR...I am strongly against the rule changes. Let's keep things the way they are. Once changes are made, there is no going back. Most everyone will be saying "Remember the good ol' deer hunting days?"

The antlerless rule was only for urban zones. Not that I support the rule in any way, but I feel that the rule would "thin the herd" of hunters. In my opinion opening weekend of gun season is the most dangerous weekend of the year. If a doe has to be killed first maby some of the "unload the gun on a running deer" people would stay out.
The link also said the state wants to move toward a deer reduction approach. Why shorten firearm seasons? I'm not a wildlife biologist but it seems like they would be better off to drop license prices ar lengthen seasons.:twocents:

Exactly, that is why I don't want it.
Remember this is a part of the gov. that your dealing with, if you give them an inch they will take a mile.
So I said :noway: to at least that part of the changes.
