Lets face it both parties are just different ways to the same end goal. Control is what both want. I just think this same old demos that repubs this does nothing but keep us away from the real problem that 99% of all people in office do it for their own gain.

The only party that may change is the Repubs and they will only do it if we voters are more circumspect and vocal during primaries. Let's see what happens with Lugar when he is challanged in the primary. Maybe by then Jim Tomes might be ready for a Senate run??

    I had a sociology professor.

he claimed he was a democratic socialist. Robert Pettit. Lives in Fort Wayne. Probably the biggest idiot I've ever met in my life.

he claimed that our founding fathers wanted small biz competition and no big biz.
he also claimed there was no God and that we all were results of Darwin's theory.

One day I brought to his attention, that if he was a true believer in evolution and survival of the fittest, would that not apply to every thing?

He was not to happy with that, he was not very happy with empty holster week either.

Good thing he did not know I always had my pistol in my bag.

Wow... they are really out of the closet. It shows what a toilet this country is in that these politicians can admit to be socialists and still get elected.

We must first identify the enemy, then we can defeat it. At the very least they are socialists. At worst, they are Marxists. Look at what Van Jones, Anita Dunn, Mark Lloyd, and Ron Blum all said relative to Mao and other "respected" Communists. Even Obama in one of his books admitted that he "sought out" Marxist professors and other members of the fringe left. We have to keep up the political pressure, folks, if we are going to change our country's direction. Keep the faith!

Parties mean nothing, a person should only vote on the record and character of the individuals running for office.

I don't believe obama is a socialist, Im not saying that some of the moves he has made weren't drasitic, some of them were necessary to stop the bleeding, some weren't. I hear a lot of right wing talk show host saying that "the American people didn't want Obamacare" and " he didn't listen to the people". Most of which I believe are right wingers.
I wonder what these same people said when bush decided to go to war with Iraq over the will of the people.
A reporter asked Chenney why we went to war with Iraq when the majority of Americans did not want to
He response was something like, You voted us in and that they were going to do what they wanted basically.
I will try and find the exact quote
If he has cut as much as he is spending then all his programs are a wash.

I think it wouldn't matter what he does, it will be wrong to the right, because like the Dems they are caught up in party allegence instead of American allegence.
Repubs do as much spending a money wasting as anyone it's just for a different part of the government and a different class of people.

Personally I think we need more folks like Ron Paul to run for office. He has a take care of yourself attitude, you keep what you earn and I keep what I earn.
More personal responsibility for your life.

Personally, I don't like either party. I am a big fan of Ron Paul too, but I think he has a snowballs chance in hell at running this country. It's a shame that when we have someone who truly believes in our countries constitution seeking leadership, the majority overlooks them in favor of a better funded candidate.

Tratertator- Fail on the Cheney quote. That was from 2008 and had nothing to do with the Americas mood at the time of the Iraq invasion. At the start of the war in 2003, the countries support for invasion after Iraq's repeated violations of their UN sanctions, blocking weapons inspectors, support of terrorists, and perceived threats of WMDs was at 72%.
