This turned into quite a fight. Two car salesmen cooked up a scheme to rob a family - dad, mom, two teenage kids. Showed up at house during day wearing Covid 19 protection, masks gloves etc. Homeowner was expecting landscapers and opened door, two invaders pulled guns and fight was on, both downstairs at the front door and ultimately in the master bedroom. It gets complicated, go read the article, but in the end the dad got what the article says is his wife's gun from the bedroom and fatally shot one of the invaders. The other fled and is now facing felony murder and home invasion charges.
I know things can happen quickly, but the description of events in the article seem difficult to fit within the length of that video.
Officers were called to the 900 block of Deely Place just before 3 a.m., for the shooting. A homeowner had heard the suspect breaking into his vehicle, so he pulled out his gun, police said.
The suspect did the same, and the two exchanged gunfire. The suspect was hit in the torso and fled the location.
It is unclear if the homeowner will face criminal charges.
