2130 Sun night man approached another man and pulled a gun. The intended victim had a concealed weapons permit, pulled his own gun and shot the first man. Wounded man arrived at hospital via private transportation where police made acquaintance with him.

Perp gets shot for his efforts, goes to the hospital where he can get the Kung Flu and die for his efforts. 
Too bad he didn't drain out prior to the hospital...taking up valuable space.

This turned into quite a fight. Two car salesmen cooked up a scheme to rob a family - dad, mom, two teenage kids. Showed up at house during day wearing Covid 19 protection, masks gloves etc. Homeowner was expecting landscapers and opened door, two invaders pulled guns and fight was on, both downstairs at the front door and ultimately in the master bedroom. It gets complicated, go read the article, but in the end the dad got what the article says is his wife's gun from the bedroom and fatally shot one of the invaders. The other fled and is now facing felony murder and home invasion charges.

The video only shows the downstairs fight. At the end you see the husband run back inside. I believe this is when he ran upstairs to confront the other guy who was holding the wife and kids. So the video has only part of the story.

Three guys break through apartment door intending to rob occupant(s). Occupant fires five shots, hits one of them in the chest. All three flee, apparently joining a fourth person in a couple getaway vehicles. They drop off Mr Chest Wound at a local hospital. Occupant uninjured and uncharged. Warrants out for the robbers.
This is a link to the Neptune Police twitter feed that shows a Ring camera video of the robbers entering (note the sophisticated door entry technique). I can't help it, I laugh every time I watch it. (Unfortuantely I don't know how to embed the vid here, the only version on Youtube so far is a local TV station report that largely shows talking heads with a clipped version of the video. The police twtter vid is much better).

24 yo with warrants for domestic violence and recent robbery of a motel broke into the house of a woman who said she had dated him. Someone else in the house shot and killed him. Police said they do not expect to file charges against the shooter.

Man wakes up to sound of window being broken, arms himself with shotgun, the observes two men breaking into his house through the back door. Man does a Joe Biden, intruders flee leaving behind their vehicle which is loaded with stolen stuff from his outbuildings. Sheriff's deputies eventually located the owner of the vehicle whom the homeowner identified as one of the intruders. Deputies then located the intruder's partner. Both unharmed, but jailed on burglary and stolen property charges.

Four guys forced open the locked doors of a convenience store at 0130. At least three of them ran inside. The clerk fired at them four times, killing one at the scene. The remaining three ran away. Police later got a call about a man found nearby with a GSW.
ETA: Occupied place of business is covered under Texas' version of Castle Doctrine. If someone unlawfully and with force enters or attempts to enter an occupied habitation, vehicle, place of business or employment, your belief that deadly force is immediately necessary is presumed reasonable.
