I get you can attach lights and hand grips to them... just as well as my moe handguard (for a lot less $$).

I am looking at a Troy Industries 15" Battle Rail. It is a free float design. So, for less weight I get the advantage of a free float slinged configuration. But $200 is salty.

I kinda like the extra weight resting on my lsinged forearm (much easier to support there than at the rear imo).
Having said that, I get the free float barrel. Not sure I need keymod or whathaveyou to accomplish that?

I average 3 moa. I'm no expert. Best was 1/2 moa @ 300. Would freefloat give me much advantage? Don't care about keymod
