Yep, my carbide sleeve definitely moved out.
    thank you for that photo!
Wow, that just shows had bad that piece was stuck and it was well lubed too.

Do you have any trouble sizing 308 brass? What I mean is, how hard is it to move the handle up and down??
Is it supposed to be that difficult?

Maybe I got a die that was off a little?
The brass I did manage to size came out nice, but it was a fight getting the handle up and down.
I want it to be smooth like when loading pistol or even 223

Had to go refresh my memory.
Shake the Dillon lube like it owed me money. Then shook it some more.
Sprayed 3 or four pumps in the trash. If it separates in the bottle, it separates in the pick-up tube.
Put six cases in a plastic bag and gave them a couple shots of lube. Knead the bag and lay them out on an old cookie sheet. Gave them 10 or 15 minutes to dry.
Used a number 2 Lee shell holder. ( would be a number 3 RCBS)
Ran the die down to shell holder and backed off 1/4 turn.
Dead nuts in the middle. Felt like sizeing a hot loaded 44 mag with a carbide sizer.
Sorry so long to answer, but it got to eating at me.
My guess is you have a lube issue. Gun oil will not work. ;)
Edit to add 2 RP cases, 2 WCC 7.62 cases and 2 LC 7.62.
Also have to say that I stole the plastic bag trick from a Blue Press issue about loading large quantities of 223 for a rifle team.

    Update...

I sent back my damaged .308 carbide die and Dillon sent me back a brand new die.
I lubed up some of the LC brass that was giving me fits before and they re-sized with out any problems.
Some were a little tough, but nothing like what I was experiencing before, not even close.
That first die I had had to have been a smidge undersized.
Chalk up another great customer service experience with Dillon! I like the blue kool-aid :koolaid:
I now have all my .308 brass sized, trimmed, swaged, re-cleaned, and ready to load :bacondance:
    The bag trick worked great!
Will definitely be doing that from now on.

I have a couple pounds of Hodgdon BL-C(2) I'm going to try out
