So I had a short conversation with my wife today about a display piece. Something like a chrome barrel single shotgun (or double) mounted on a dark stained oak or mahogany piece right above the fireplace or something, but I could NOT find anything convincing on google!

Anyone have any suggestions? I have an old H&R single shot 12 GA with some beautiful metal to it, but I know those aren't the prettiest pieces. Pictures of good setups or example guns or something would be great.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to presenting any and all ideas to the missus!

Could be an option once the sprout gets a bit older, but it'd mainly be for display. Maybe I can keep a few rounds stashed behind the mantle or something just in case. I carry 24/7, so a defense gun it needn't be.

I never cared for chromed firearms. Deep blue and a dark stock finish = win for a display single shot, or if you've got a bit more to spend get a double barrel. Double the barrels double the class.

I've got my great great uncles mossberg US44(b) over the entertainment center. We made a stand for it to place it in a good spot. Goes with our "rustic" theme. The 7-rd magazine is in a cabinet nearby so when varmints are causing a ruckus it can be quickly put into action.
