The older I get the more I understand why guns are better than women.

Women need constant care, food, shopping cash, makeup, shoes, health care, cars, car care, houses, house care, lawns, lawn care, children, child care. I could go on but you get the picture.

Personally i I was good carting a single light bulb from room to room in the small house. An old pickup with a backup beater for transport and a big screen tv. Truthfully the big screen only in football season.

Guns need a good rub down and cleaning at least once a year if not used. Ammo for your pleasures. Maybe a nice holster or two once or twice in a lifetime. A nice cool dry place in the safe. Some cleaning supplies and some range payments/fees.

Did the math. Would be cheaper to find a local baby pro and plan a trip to Amsterdam ever other year after the age of 45. Take note single male forum members.

if I need a woman to cook there is a local restaurant.

Spiteful older guy here just chiming in.

    Absolutely!

I know a lot of women who are shooters. The prettiest ones are hands down the best shots, so either being prettier makes them better shots or being more competent makes them prettier.

You know what's hot? A pretty gal with a kid on her hip and a rifle over the door, when she can soothe the crying child and pop head shots at 300 yards.

Just jacking around with firearms and taking pics with guns for facebook doesn't do anything for me. 2MOA prone, unsupported, that gets my attention.

Same thing for ladies who are EMT's or Nurses. Saving lives is hot.

Interesting how most in the thread jump from "attractive" to the idea of "physically attractive" thereby reducing the concept of attractiveness to mere appearance.

Desirability (to get away from the "attractive" terminology) is a constellation of things to me. And yes, Pro 2A women who shoot get bonus points.

    It's a no-brainer.

Yep women who KNOW HOW TO USE GUNS are at least 2 points hotter. Sleezy models pointing guns at things get no bonus points. Big firm TaTas also get bonus points, but that is for another thread.

Was thinking similar. Attractive does not equal physical looks (alone). It's kind of like a woman with a nice smile or a good personality makes them more attractive. It does not make them better looking so if there is not some attraction it doesn't help really, but it tips things a bit on the scale.

Personally, if I see a woman who is my type, and has a nice smile or just is really nice, etc those additional aspects make her more attractive. I'd assume that a woman who I have some common interests with would also become more attractive. It would not make her "prettier".

Just having a gun in a pic with her, doesn't do anything for me. Just like Kirk, the first thing I noticed in the first pic was there was a woman with her finger on the trigger, pointing a gun at her face. Someone needs to take the gun away from her and teach her a couple of things before she gets it back.

Hmmmm, I dunno...but men who cook kinda fascinate me.

I cook quite well and you shoot... How YOU doin? :):

But can they actually shoot? Or are these just props for hot chicks. Looking at this picture alone, I am actually turned off by it.

Now you start talking Kristin Joy Weiss, TacTissy, etc and you have my attention. Easy on the eyes, and you wouldnt want to compete against them either.

But seriously, I think it has something to do with confidence and skill more than anything. I dont want a woman that needs me to do everything for her. Sure I'll gladly kill spiders for her. But if she can hold her own AND be feminine she has my attention. Its more about competence and confidence than anything else.

you can be supermodel material, but if you cant think or do your way out of a wet paper sack, I have no interest in you.

My lovely bride is not much of a shooter, but I wouldn't trade her in for a new model for all the money in the world.

    However...

On those rare occasions when we do go to the range together, she looks even hotter than normal!!!

(I had to type that, she was looking over my shoulder at the "Selma thread", AKA "Big Tanker Thread" AKA "Classifieds Thread".)

A woman that can shoot and that carries is definitely worth plus two points to me. Models that get paid to pose with a gun that they know nothing about get no bonus points and have points deducted if they are doing something stupid. I admire strength in a woman and have little use for someone pandering to gun owners while thinking that demonstrating idiocy with a gun is somehow hot. To be honest though, it's generally not the models fault. An idiot photographer will hire a model and she'll pose in any way that he asks her to with the gun. If the photographer hands a gun to someone that's only seen them on TV without any instruction on how to properly handle them, the fault is on him, not her.

I believe women are great multi-taskers (in their genes??) My wife surely tracks many things at once, much more than I can do. But I do enjoy watching her focus solely on one task such as shooting (she is better than me), or driving a sports car. I get that slight grin when she chirps the tires shifting (on purpose). I would say watching any women focus on just one thing is enjoyable, especially if you get to participate too! :-)

LOL- i said men who cook fascinate me, i didn't mean to imply anything else! My dad wasn't much help in the kitchen and neither is my husband, so it's always kind of a novelty when one of our male friends and I cook a meal together.

I'm a pretty fair hand in the kitchen, but alas, I am already claimed.

However, I'll post a recipe that I created that has won raves from everyone who has tried it.

A bad meatloaf can put you off from ever eating one again... but a great meatloaf is a joy and a pleasure. Here's a recipe that combines the old fashioned goodness of a meatloaf with today's taste sensation, Caribbean Jerk. This takes two day to prepare properly, so plan ahead.

    DAY ONE

Finely chop one large onion, one large red bell pepper, and one large stalk of celery. Sauté in just a little hot oil until translucent and turning golden brown -- about 20 minutes. Mix in one heaping tablespoon of dry Jerk seasoning about five minutes before the veggies are ready to pull off the flame, (Available commercially, but don't get the cheap stuff. Or, use the recipe that follows this one.)

Don't overcrowd the skillet, if necessary sauté in separate batches and then mix together.

When done, set aside and let cool down.

In a very large mixing bowl sprinkle one heaping tablespoon of dry Jerk seasoning on top of one and a half pounds of high quality ground beef, one pound of ground pork, and two cups of cooked rice. Coarsely mix together with your hands. Don't yet worry about equal distribution.

(A note about hand mixing meat: One of the secrets of a great tasting finished product is to ensure that the "fat" in the meat is not melted into liquid by the heat of your hands during the mixing. You can accomplish this several ways. One is to start with meat that is quite cold from the refrigerator. Another is to set the mixing bowl on top of a larger bowl packed with ice. In all cases be careful about not overmixing, as this will help keep the fat the way we want it.)

Whisk together two whole eggs, one pint of heavy cream, and the third (and final) heaping tablespoon of dry Jerk seasoning.

Put the cooled-down sauted veggies in with the meat, pour the egg/cream mix on top of them, and gently but completely mix together until all ingredients are equally distributed.

Line two well oiled standard sized loaf pans with wax paper, with plenty of overlap on the sides. Mold the meat mixture into the pans, ensuring no air pockets remain. Put a smooth, level top on each loaf. DO NOT cook in the loaf pans.

After molding into the loaf pans, turn them over and use the wax paper overlaps to pull out the meatloafs so that you have what looks like two upsidedown raw meatloafs. Remove the wax paper.

Using a bottom side of a tablespoon, make a crease down the long-side top of each loaf. It should not be deep or wide, just a little less than a half inch or so.

Put the loaves onto a cooking rack so that all the grease will drain out under them while they bake.

Bake for about one hour and fifteen minutes, at 350 degrees. However, every fifteen minutes open the oven and drizzle a quarter cup of beef stock (kept at very low boil) over each loaf (This is what the indention is for, and you should be aiming at that for the length of each loaf.)

Use a meat thermometer to tell you exactly when to stop, the internal temp of each loaf should be about 165.

They can now be eaten on the spot (after allowing them to rest for about ten minutes), but the next step moves you into the realm of "real chef" and makes the loaves into something entirely new.

Let the loaves cool down just a bit and then wrap each one very tightly in aluminum foil.

Put each loaf into the refrigerator and place something pretty heavy (2 or 3 lbs), flat, and wide on the top of each loaf, so that the entire loaf is squashed down. Books work fine, with a heavy weight on top of them.

    Leave overnight.

    DAY TWO

Pull out each loaf, unwrap, slice and serve cold. It's the best meatloaf you've ever had.

    Jack's Dry Jerk Seasoning Mix:

    Yield: 8 tablespoons

    Ingredients:

1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (or much, much more if you're like our family)

    1 tablespoon onion powder

    1 tablespoon garlic powder

    1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning

    1 tablespoon dry mustard

    2 teaspoons ground thyme

2 teaspoons sea or kosher salt

2 teaspoons dried chives or green onions

    2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

    1 teaspoon ground pimento (allspice)

    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1/4 teaspoon ground clove

    1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Mix together all the ingredients. Store leftovers in a tightly closed glass jar. It will keep its pungency for over a month.

    I'm taken, too!
Recipe sounds good, but i'd have to substitute something for the rice, i'm low-carbing.
