Maybe this has been covered before & I just don't know it...
I have several friends who have named their guns. I generally don't, but it got me thinking...
One friend had Ultra flat black duracote put onto his 1911 & added Maple burl-wood grips (tan in color), and named it "Guiness".
Another named his CZ-75 "Black Betty", which is kinda puzzling to me.

I recently added an older Colt Commander (.45) to my collection. Three of my buds are bugging me to name it. I'm on the fence about it & cant even decide on what to even name it. UGH! One friend suggested MAGONEL. He said it is Latin & means "Engine of War". Meh!:dunno:

    So, whats the verdict, all??

I don't name guns, that is like naming your tools or a shovel. However, IF I had a colorful fufu type gun, I guess it would be fitting to give it a fufu name to best describe its glaring awkwardness. But if it draws enough attention to be dubbed its own moniker, then it wouldn't be in my collection.
