I've had Long's before and they are good. I find Sweet Shop in Greenfield to be just as good. I might be biased as I have grown up with Sweet Shop donuts.
We used to have an awesome doughnut place up here, White House I think it was called, and they even sold Bagel Fair bagels. That seems so long ago. Oh, man, now I need to get down to Nora and have a fresh bagel that's still warm. One of the joys of life...
in my old neighborhood it was sugar and spice. they would be sold out be 8:30 or 9 on weekends and holidays . now we just go to doughnut king and talk about how much we miss sugar and spice.
I have eaten lots of donuts over my life. Some how, Lucky's Market in Louisville has the best I have ever had. I cannot tell you why they are so good, but just that they are. Jeff's Bakery in Jeffersonville has the best glazed donuts I have ever had, and they even put bran in them so you can tell your wife/doctor/cardiologist they are good for you.
Jacks donuts in Greenfield is awesome! The Sweet Shop in Greenfield is hard to beat too! Might have to make an extra stop on the way to work tomorrow morning.
