Walking from a meeting yesterday afternoon in downtown Indy, I see all sorts of red and blue flashing lights (with police, fire and ambulance personnel) at the corner of Maryland and Illinois Street. In listening to a few bystanders talking who had been watching for 10-15 minutes, apparently some guy run up behind another guy and knifed him in the throat and then ran off. The attacker was still at large. These two guys were just average Joe's and might not have had any idea what happened though.

I watched the 5:00, 6:00, 11:00 news last night with no mention of this. I checked the IndyStar webpage too and nothing.

Any IMPD or first responders have any insight into what happened?

So, it was a stabbing. Thanks MrsGungho. :yesway: Now hopefully someone with some more details will give us an update.

The way these guys were talking it was an unprovoked attack, but unless they were there and witnessed what went on before and during the attack, I'm not sure how they would know that.
