Over the years, I've just bought a few at a time here and there and no particular brand. Are the new Milwaukee shockwave bits all they're cracked up to be? Any recommendations for the most durable and best value? Looking for #2 Phillips and square.

Honestly bits are bits. In heavy use the best outlasts the worst by only hours. I've gotten to the point where I buy whatever name brand bits that are on the best sale. Don't fall for the dewalt trick, they are no better than bosch/ridgid/ryobi/insertanyothermajornamehere. I tend to use the 6inch bits, longest lasting philips was a Bosch, then ryobi. $7 dewalt bit broke taking out the 3rd hinge screw on an exterior door.
