    Big time NO-NO with a Ruger SR9C

Back on topic. Good. You are correct that Ruger recommends the mag be inserted when dry firing. Of course the SR9 has a magazine disconnect so that makes sense.

Rob, Chez, Fourtrax. You guys are killing me here. I am sitting in my cubical and it is a good thing the office is closed. Oh and dontfeed

I'm not capable of dry-fire practice. If I squeeze the trigger and get a "click" my warrior-brain takes over and I instantly go into a 3 second tap-rack-click loop before ditching the pistol, drawing my blade, and diving in to go hands-on with the target. Just can't help it, habits from the sandbox and blackwater.

(Purple implied but typing on my phone) I'm thinking to type that you must already have your ninja gear on. It's the only way to make sure you're typing as an operator.

Chez, you crack me up (purple no longer implied). :)

I'm an empty mag in kinda guy for the mag change practice as mentioned previously.

You guys had me laughing so hard I'm crying haha.

Whenever I dry-fire I use a snap cap in the chamber and a empty mag in the gun. Necessary? Probably not, but I can't see how it could hurt anything, I've already made sure there is no live ammo in either the gun or the mag.
