I am trying to figure how the gay people get offended so easy. I mean come on, doesn't it take pretty thick skin to act like a guys wife....when you are a guy?
That's the thing, NONE of the gay/lesbian people I know are offended. The few who are must be very loud about it.

Here's what a good friend of mine (who happens to be both a lesbian and somewhat liberal) had to say about it this morning.

I would just like to take a few moments and express some views I have in regards to Phil Robertson. It is no surprise that Mr. Robertson would believe in the opinions he expressed in a recent interview. The family prays at the end of every show. If you have read up on your history about the family you would know how deeply religious Phil Robertson is so it should come as no surprise that he is believes in what the bible says literally about homosexuality. I just want to make it clear that the bible does refer to homosexuals in a derogatory manner. However it is no position of mine to thrust my views at any one person who disagrees with my lifestyle. Phil Robertson along with other anti-gay supporters are entitled to their opinion. And are allowed to express that opinion however they choose. I don't see Phil Robertson coming into my house damning me to hell because I am a lesbian. Just as I don't see Chic Fil A coming to work protesting me because I date girls. People and businesses are allowed to believe in and support whatever and whomever they so choose. The day that Phil Robertson comes to my house and attempts to tell me how to live my life is the day I will express my opinion to him and argue back. But he hasn't and will never. Just the same as Chic Fil A or any other anti-gay person or company. So it's really none of our concern that he feels this way. So why are we all in such an up roar anyway when it's really no surprise? Let it go. It makes no difference in your life. Live the life you are proud of you, just like Phil Robertson and his family. After all, I highly doubt any of us can raise our hands and claim no sins. We must remember that the constitution also protects the freedom of religion and Phil as every right to exercise that right just as we do. With that freedom Of religion comes protection to believe and worship in whatever you choose without oppression or consequence. So stop watching the show, or stop eating at Chic Fil A, or stop donating to the Salvation Army. But get off your high horse and stop pretending like they've broken the law or offended you personally. They have the same rights as we do, if you want them to be silenced then you must prepare to be silent yourself.

Phil didn't say nothing about lesbians, nor did the Bible, correct me if I am wrong. I can understand why a woman would want a woman.....I just can't understand a guy wanting a guy. I mean....we are hairy and stink, fart, belch and pee on a tree and take baths once a week!

I think the Robertson's should pull out from A&E. Any network would love to film the show. Phil is right and I'm glad his family is standing by him!

I heard the family released a statement. Can anyone verify? Please list it here, if so, because that would be super convenient.

The bold also described more than a handful of the lesbians I've met in more than a few states and countries. The real world isn't a porn set.

I'm not sure they'd care much about being on another network. Jep, Jase, and Phil (along with quite a few of the grandchildren) don't really care about the fame from the show and have said as much in interviews. Jase, Jep, and Phil (especially Phil) have been vocal about wanting to be done with the show. Seems as if most people don't care about all that because they somehow believe it affects their own lives.
