I'm looking at getting a gun for the gf and her favorite color is purple, how hard or expensive is it to have a polymer frame duracoated?

Its been a looong time ago, but I had a Glock frame duracoated for about $150 or so. It seemed to hold up well for me. With all of the different options out there now, duracoat should be relatively inexpensive I would think.

Its what I'm looking into for her christmas present, the only good thing about her not being on ingo yet

Thinking of a sig p250 9mm, can order a spare frame for 45 bucks, have it duracoated purple and she would still have a black frame also

Brownell's had duracoat kits for about 30 bucks last time I looked. I've heard it's not too hard for a DIY, but you have to make sure the frame is clean and free of oils to get a lasting finish.

Look at TDmetalworks.com not in Inpls but close. Indy Trading Post has a contact that knows someone local that does Duracoat.
