Anyone tried to Duracoat their polymer gun frame?

Hay anybody duracoated a polymer pistol? - AR15.Com Archive

I have read that Duracoat is great stuff. But its pricy. Would getting krylon do the same job as duracoat? I am wanting to only paint the polymer frame not the metal slide. Thats why I wasn't sure if Duracoat was worth the extra $$$ vs krylon (krylon claims to stick to plastics)

I'd be glad to hear your personal experience with this type of process

Krylon....cheap, quick, and you can touch it up when you need to. There's no way I'd pay for a duracoat....

I've seen cerakote and durakote and I think the cerakote is a much better product. Durakote seems to be just like Krylon. Just be sure to prep it well (I'd use a good cleaner) and you'll be OK with either.
